Professional Bell ExpressVu Repairs
While there is plenty of internet advice available on a few of the swollen capacitors that every Bell Model 9242 and 9241 are plagued with, there are actually over 15 capacitors on these models that will cause issues. There are also issues with a few other components we've seen frequently fail.
That's why every repair we do is a full restoration, replacing every component that commonly fails. Which is why our repairs last, and we guarantee it. The highest quality components are used and every Bell Receiver is thoroughly tested before going back out.
We are so confident in our repairs we are also the only shop to offer 1, 2 and 3 year Extended Warranties on all repaired receivers.
For those who want to repair their own receiver, we have the only full Do-It-Yourself repair kits available for most Models of Bell ExpressVu Receivers. Complete with all capacitors required, step-by-step instructions with pictures and guided disassembly and capacitor replacement.
Step #1 - Diagnostics
Once we receive your Bell Receiver or you drop it off, we thoroughly test the tuner circuits, power supply circuit and video processing circuit. This will ensure we know exactly where your issue originated. It also gets a full internal cleaning.
Step #2 - The Repair
A full Refurbishing
This is the most common repair and every Model 9242 and 9241 will eventually need it at some point. We do more than replace a few capacitors. We replace over 15 capacitors and a number of other components that frequently fail. Its better than a new receiver.
Step #3 - Testing
Once the repair is finished we thoroughly test all circuits, the fan, power supply and Hard Drive. A full Hard Drive diagnostics is done to ensure its up to snuff as well. Once its passes all our tests, we ship it back to you.
